Account Detail - How to Create Activities

Activity Overview

Activity tracking is one of the core components of Cru's CRM. We have made great strides in improving the CRM from a user interface perspective. The Activities upgrade is the most recent of those improvements. After gathering user feedback and analyzing several reports focused on user behaviors with Activities, we uncovered three key issues: 1) activities had more complexity than was actually needed, 2) we forced users to make decisions about all the available options even when they wanted to simply record an activity, and 3) they were forced to wait for multiple screen loads just to create one interaction.  What does this mean for you, activities are leaner, built primarily for the simple path, and leverage our new technology to eliminate screen loads.

The focus was making it as simple as possible to capture a new activity. One thing to notice is that there is no need to leave the account detail screen, and the form has been streamlined to just the basics. In addition, we wanted to remove confusion around dates so there is now only 1 date. A reworked list of activities looks and functions in a way to make the form easier to work from. If you need to add an activity, it’s a few fields, if you need to capture some additional context, that is straightforward as well. 


Step-by-step:

To get started, in the Account Details Screen, click on the Activities Extension.

From the Activities Extension, click on the New Activity Icon.

Quickly add a description, choose the activity type, set the date and you are ready to complete an Activity

Back on the newly created activity, below the description, there are three options, Add Attachment, Add Private note, or Add Comment, click and follow the prompts.

Completing Scheduled Activities

For activities that you have scheduled in CRM will now see the complete icon on the right side of the activity. To mark this activity as complete requires one click on the complete icon. If there is additional information that you would like to include like a comment, or perhaps an Outcome just click on the edit icon and fill out the necessary fields. That’s it! Super easy!
