Searching in CRM

There are two ways to find the account/s your are looking for, the quick and easy Global Search(lookup), and the exact and powerful Precise Search. Both of these lookup tools provide different results and value.

Please take a look at these Quick Reference Cards (QRCs):

Global Search | Precise Search

Global Search vs. Precise Search

Global Search is great for finding that account or contact that you need to engage with. Providing the ability to quickly lookup an Account or Contact from anywhere in the system. No need to be case sensitive, natural language search, fuzzy matching, and did we mention, Contacts are also searched.

Precise Search is the perfect compliment to Global Search, great for building lists or finding the exact accounts that match your search. This precision comes from being an exact match, which includes case sensitivity, you also get to tell it exactly which field to search in. For more exact results, you also may combine search terms in multiple fields at the same time.

Global Search

Precise Search

Type and go (quick results) Fine Tuned control of your search
Provides close matches Exact Matches only (case sensitive)
