Ministry Partner Purpose and Outcome Definitions

There are two additional fields that are highly encouraged though not required to complete an activity. The Purpose and Outcome fields will help provide context about why you initiated the touch-point as well as what the overall result was. They are also helpful in locating activities that were meant to accomplish a specific goal, and they are crucial for accurate and effective reporting. Purpose (Why)

Definition

Consultation

To discuss opportunities for partnership, needs, strategy, or training.

Cultivation

The main reason for this activity is to grow the relationship with the Partner that will propel them further into the cultivation process.

Follow-up

To follow up with the Partner from a prior communication.

Investigate

Evaluation of a potential partner organization to determine if there is an opportunity to form a partnership, identify needs, and gain understanding of ministry impact.

Networking

To gather additional leads for follow-up.

Partnership Formation

To finalize partnership, get a signed memorandum of understanding

Prayer

To pray with or for the partner

Project

Interaction which focuses on a specific project or project opportunity.

Prospecting

Initial effort of gathering partner leads.

Report Gathering

To capture a report from the field for use in ministry reporting.

Thank you

An activity created to thank a Partner (e.g., for a gift, for prayer, for participating in an event, etc.).

Training

To train for a project or upcoming event.

                                   

           

Outcome (What)

Definition

Approved

An interaction resulted in a request getting approved (e.g., equipment, resources, training, etc.)

Completed

The request or interaction was completed.

Denied

An interaction resulted in a request getting denied (e.g., equipment, resources, training, etc.)

Evaluate

There is a need for further evaluation (e.g., funding request, equipment, training, etc.)

In Process

Initial request or interaction was begun.  Awaiting response.

Leads Identified

New leads were identified for further investigation.

New Partnership Initiated

A new partnership was formed and there will be further interaction.

Sent

A communication (e.g., letter, email, text, report, gift, etc.) was sent successfully.

Successful

The interaction was determined to be successful.

Unsuccessful

The interaction was determined to be unsuccessful
